TORONTO, ON–(August 10, 2016) -Lingo Media Corporation (TSX VENTURE: LM) (OTCQB: LMDCF) (“Lingo Media” or the “Company”), an EdTech company that is ‘Changing the way the world learns English’ through innovative online and print-based technologies and solutions, announces that shareholders have re-elected Messrs. Hon. Jerry Grafstein, Martin Bernholtz, Tommy Weibing Gong and Michael Kraft as directors of the Company at its annual and special meeting held on August 9, 2016 (the “AGM”). Scott Remborg did not stand for re-election and Lingo Media wishes to thank him for his time, efforts and support during his term as a director.
In addition, shareholders also approved the reappointment of Collins Barrow Toronto LLP, Chartered Accountants as auditors.
The amendment of the Company’s stock option plan, which would have increased the number of options issuable under the plan from its current amount of 4,108,635 (20% of issued and outstanding as of December 2011) to 7,087,338 (20% of issued and outstanding as of the record date) did not receive sufficient votes to be approved. As a result, Lingo Media’s stock option plan remains unchanged and the number of options issuable under the plan remains 4,108,635.
Subsequent to the AGM, the directors reappointed Michael Kraft as President & CEO, Khurram Qureshi as Chief Financial Officer and Gali Bar-Ziv as Chief Operating Officer.
