Gali Bar-Ziv – President & CEO

Gali Bar-Ziv brings more than 15 years of management and entrepreneurial experience, including financing, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, channel development and corporate development. Mr. Bar-Ziv profitably grew a sales, marketing and distribution start-up to sales growth of more than 700% year over year.   Prior to that, he successfully turned around the largest service division of a $300 Million financial services company.   Mr. Bar-Ziv holds a Bachelor of Law (LL.B) degree from the University of London and an MBA in Strategic and Entrepreneurial studies from the Schulich School of Business in Toronto.

Khurram Qureshi – Chief Financial Officer

Khurram Qureshi brings over 25 years’ experience in the field of accounting and corporate finance. Mr. Qureshi qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990 and has held senior positions with several small to medium size public companies. He has been a key member on several merger and acquisition teams.

Robert Martellacci

Robert Martellacci (MA EdTech) is president of MindShare Learning Technology, Canada’s leading EdTech strategy, news & events company he founded in 2001. Mr. Martellacci is also president & co-founder of C21 Canada—Canadians for 21st Century Learning & Innovation.

Mr. Martellacci is a lifelong learner who is committed to connecting business and education to transform learning in the 21st century to support student success. He completed a transformational learning journey as a mature student earning a master’s in educational technology from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.

Mr. Martellacci has over 25 years of expertise and thought leadership in education as a former university administrator at York University; he also launched The Learning Company School Division (Kevin O’Leary) which inspired his start-up MindShare Learning Technology following the Mattel acquisition.

One of Martellacci’s signature slogans, “until next time, keep the learning curve steep.”

Tommy Weibing Gong

Tommy Weibing Gong holds an Engineering degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China, and IT certifications through his North American education and started his IT career in 1996 in Silicon Valley. Mr. Gong is founder of Polar Bear Energy Inc., a business in the Cleantech and Greentech sector. He is now a leading commercial property developer in Shanghai. Mr. Gong serves as Chairman of Shanghai Green Town Plaza Real Estate Development Co., Ltd, Shanghai Zhetie Green Town Real Estate Development Co., Ltd, Zysteq North America Corporation, Shanghai Tommy Real Estate Development Co., Ltd, Shanghai Tommy & Jane Property Investment and Management Co., Ltd., and Canada & China Real Estate Management Co., Ltd. He was appointed as Economy Advisor by Shanghai Yangpu District Government in 2010. Mr. Gong is the recipient of “2009: China’s Top 10 Intelligent and Financial Person”; “2010: Person of the Year in Overseas Business”, “2013: China’s Top 10 Outstanding Business Leaders”.

Laurent Mareschal

Laurent Mareschal brings more than 20 years of financial management experience at Scotiabank, including financial reporting and mergers and acquisitions. Amongst his various assignments, Mr. Mareschal was CFO of Scotiabank’s Capital Markets division delivering best in class financial results globally during the Global Financial Crisis. He was also CFO of the Canadian Banking division, during a period in which results grew at twice the rate of competitors. Mr. Mareschal also headed Scotiabank’s Small Business Banking division, implementing significant operational and technology improvement to drive efficiencies and growth. He is currently COO and CFO of a Toronto based Venture Capital firm focusing on technology companies. Mr. Mareschal holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University and an MBA in Finance from McMaster University.
